Black History Month

To honor the contribution of the Black community is to acknowledge not only its resilience but also the systemic hurdles that painfully remain. In observance of Black History Month, Amanda Gorman’s poetry connects us to this perspective and the action we are called to.

Her words remind us that true understanding and appreciation of Black achievement shines a light on the work that still needs to be done, cultivates paths to opportunity, and continuously strives for the societal imperative that is diversity, equity, and inclusion – not only this month, but always.
